Yes! Finally the ta-dah post of the big drawstring pouch I was working on. I named it “drawstring delight”, because of obvious reasons πŸ™‚

It took me a long time to decide how to make the closure, because I didn’t want anything on top (it would only add more to the height and it was high enough as is) and I didn’t want to lose any of its stripes. So I came with a crocheted solution; a tunnel from the same yarn as one big stripe πŸ™‚ I also wanted handles, so you could easily take it with you. This was really a two in one “brilliant!” moment. When I came to the solution for the closure “problem” it all went so fast, I finished it in a few hours.

I really like how it turned out! I use it for yarn stashing I use for my recent project; a hexagon knitted bag. I also use one of the mini skein wonders to stash the little hexagons in and my tapestry needle and scissors.

Those stripes make me so so happy ^^

Because I also did a tutorial for the “mini skein wonders”, it would only be fair to do a tutorial on the “drawstring delight” as well, especially for you crochet folk πŸ™‚ It would take me a while to write up, but it will be there in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes open!

I’m really curious what you think about this enlarged crochet version of the mini pouches, so don’t hesitate to comment πŸ˜‰
