The designer of Sophies Universe, has done it again! Dedri Uys from the blog Look At What I Made has designed the Scheepjes CAL 2018, and isn’t it just stunning <3 Every year Scheepjes hosts one big CAL as their main event. This takes place in their CAL facebook group.

De ontwerpster van Sophie’s Universe heeft het weer gedaan! Dedri Uys van de blog Look At What I Made heeft de Scheepjes CAL 2018 ontworpen en is het niet prachtig <3 Elk jaar houdt Scheepjes een grote CAL als hun hoofdevenement. Dit vindt plaats in hun CAL facebook groep.  

I am so in love with this design. Personally I really love hexagons and floral designs, so this is right up my alley! I also love the inspiration that is used for this design. It is ‘Ubuntu’, a Nguni Bantu term which can be translated to ‘the belief that we are defined by our compassion and kindness towards others’. It literally says ‘I am because we are’. Now that is something to ponder isn’t it? You can read the whole backstory on Dedri’s blog here.

Ik ben helemaal weg van dit ontwerp. Zelf houd ik erg van hexagons en bloemige ontwerpen, dus dit past helemaal in mijn straatje! Ik vind de inspiratie achter het ontwerp ook erg mooi. De Nguni Bantu term ‘Ubuntu’. Het kan worden vertaald naar ‘het geloof dat we worden gedefinieerd door onze compassie en goedheid naar anderen toe’. Letterlijk vertaald: ‘Ik ben omdat wij zijn’. The Details

• The CAL runs from 12 September 2018 to December 2018
• CAL parts will be released in 12 weeks at 12:00 PM UK time each Wednesday, during the CAL.
• CAL parts will be released in the facebook groups and on www.scheepjes.com
• CAL kits are available in three different yarns, resulting in three different sizes blankets (see size schematic in picture below).

• De CAL loopt van 12 september 2018 tot december 2018
• CAL patroondelen worden in 12 weken uitgebracht om 13:00 uur Nederlandse tijd, elke woensdag gedurende de CAL
• De CAL patroondelen worden uitgebracht in de facebook groepen en op www.scheepjes.com
• De CAL garenpakketten zijn beschikbaar in drie verschillende garens, dit resulteert in drie dekens met verschillende maten (zie tabel in foto hieronder)
