The five part documentary Signe Chanel shows the process of a couture show from start to finish, including a wedding dress. The dress is hand embroidered and the artists each worked in one of their hairs, because it was believed to bring good luck to the bride. Such an interesting documentary, not only for the wedding dress, but also for all other aspects of making a couture collection. A must see if you’re interested in that sort of thing : )

Or how about making lace yourself? I really respect those people, because I feel if I would try it, it would end up being all in knots, and not how they’re supposed to knot, haha.

Of wat denk je van zelf kant maken? Ik heb echt respect voor die mensen, want ik heb het idee dat als ik het zelf probeer, dat het dan allemaal in de knoop gaat en dan niet zoals het in de knoop zou moeten, haha.

When I think about romance, I think a lot about music, because it can affect my mood so much. We have a lot of songs that are special to us (sorry no Barry White, haha), so I have made a little playlist for you on Spotify. The full list is below if you want to look them up on another music service.

I am sure every couple has their own ‘soundtrack’  : )

Als ik denk aan romantiek, denk ik ook vooral aan muziek, want het kan mijn stemming zo beinvloeden. We hebben erg veel liedjes die speciaal voor ons zijn (sorry geen Barry White, haha), dus ik heb daar een playlist van gemaakt op Spotify. De hele lijst staat hieronder voor als je ze zelf wilt opzoeken in een andere muziekservice.

The Hexie

For the second hexie of this theme I had to use the handmade rose my boyfriend made me <3 It is the most romantic gesture he’s ever made I think, but it’s hard to tell, because he is the most romantic of us two, so he has done more than one romantic thing, haha. For the yarn I used 8 colors Scheepjes Stone Washed and River Washed from the Colour Pack*. The colorlist can be found below.

Voor de tweede hexie van dit thema kon ik niet anders dan de handgemaakte roos van mijn vriend gebruiken <3 Het is het meest romantische wat hij ooit voor mij heeft gedaan, maar ik weet het niet zeker, want hij is toch wel de meest romantische van ons twee, dus het is niet het enige romantische wat hij tot nu toe heeft gedaan, haha. Voor het garen gebruikte ik 8 kleuren van Scheepjes Stone Washed en River Washed uit de Colour Pack*. De kleurenlijst kan je hieronder vinden. 

*The codes that start with an 8 are Stone Washed colors, the codes that start with a 9 are River Washed colors. / De codes beginnend met een 8 zijn Stone Washed kleuren, de codes beginnend met een 9 zijn River Washed kleuren.
