Twice a year Scheepjes brings out a bookazine called YARN. Each new volume has a theme that the designs are inspired by. There were stunning themes in the past such as ‘sea’, ‘woman’ and ‘dutch masters’. I always marvel at the themes and the execution. The bookazines, which you can purchase here*, look very stylish and are full of amazing crochet and knitting patterns. The theme for this volume is ‘Folk’, which I absolutely love. The colors look so warm and classy and the designs are, like always, wonderful.

Twee keer per jaar brengt Scheepjes de YARN bookazine uit. Elke nieuwe editie heeft een thema waarop de ontwerpen zijn geinspireerd. Er waren in het verleden al prachtige thema’s, zoals ‘sea’, ‘woman’ en ‘Dutch masters’. Ik vind het toch bijzonder hoe de thema’s worden bedacht en uitgevoerd. De bookazines, die je hier* kunt aanschaffen, zien er erg stijlvol uit en staan vol met haak- en breipatronen. Het thema van deze editie is ‘Folk’, en ik vind het echt schitterend geworden. De kleuren zien er zo warm en chique uit en de ontwerpen zijn, zoals altijd, prachtig. 

What I also like is that this edition has a lot of garments <3 You know how I feel about crochet garments. Since I have written my plea for more crochet sweaters, I do see a shift in the crochet world and more and more designers are dipping their toes in the crochet garment waters. Wat ik ook erg mooi vind is dat deze editie erg veel kledingpatronen heeft <3 Je weet hoe ik denk over gehaakte kleding. Sinds ik mijn pleidooi heb gehouden voor meer gehaakte truien, zie ik langzaamaan een verschuiving in de haakwereld en zijn er meer en meer ontwerpers die zich wagen aan gehaakte kleding. De resultaten zijn geweldig, zoals je hierboven wel kunt zien. Deze mooie trui is ontworpen door Ana D. Je kunt meer informatie over deze trui vinden op Ravelry. Apart from garments there’s also home deco, like this super colorful blanket designed by Rachele from Cypress Textiles. I love Rachele’s nack for choosing colors and she has done it again, because this design breaths ‘folk’ <3 You can find more details about this blanket on Ravelry. Behalve de kledingontwerpen is zijn er ook Home deco ontwerpen, zoals deze super kleurrijke deken ontworpen door Rachele van Cypress Textiles. Rachele is erg goed in het kiezen van kleuren en dat is deze keer niet anders, want deze kleuren ademen ‘Folk’. <3 Je kunt meer informatie over deze deken vinden op Ravelry.
