Now that the Inspirational Hexies blog series is over, I’d like to look back on all the Hexies I’ve made so far. In total I’ve made 32! So I think it’s fun to see them all together in one post : ) If you haven’t heard of the series before, here is the link which will take you to the page where you can find all info.

The Inspirational Hexies series in short: I have made 32 Hexies using 16 themes. For each theme I have made 1 granny stitch Hexie using the Scheepjes Catona Cutie Pies* and 1 solid stitch Hexie using the Scheepjes Stone Washed and River Washed colour pack*. The Hexies are accompanied by a photo on which the color combinations are inspired. Next to the Hexies, I’ve also made moodboards for each of the 16 themes, as well as other inspiration like crochet patterns, books, embroidery, paintings, music and movies.

Nu de Inspirational Hexies blog serie over is, vind ik het leuk om terug te kijken op alle Hexies die ik tot nu toe heb gemaakt. Ik heb er maar liefst 32! Dus het is vast leuk om ze allemaal in 1 post samen te zien : ) Als je nog niet eerder van de serie hebt gehoord, hier is de link die je naar de pagina brengt met alle informatie. 

De Inspirational Hexies Serie in het kort: Ik heb 32 Hexies gemaakt op basis van 16 thema’s. Voor elk thema heb ik 1 Hexie gemaakt met Scheepjes Catona Cutie Pies* in een granny steek en 1 Hexie met de Scheepjes Stone Washed en River Washed Colour Pack* in een solide steek. De Hexies worden vergezeld door foto’s waarop hun kleurencombinaties zijn geinspireerd. Daarnaast heb ik sfeerborden gemaakt voor alle 16 thema’s, maar in de blogposts bied ik ook andere inspiratie, zoals haakpatronen, boeken, borduurwerk, schilderijen, muziek en films.

I enjoyed making the Hexies very much and I hope you liked it too! I felt making them was a very fun way of releasing my creative energy, but also a good way to do some color therapy. And besides that, they are great to try out bold color combinations, because a Hexie finished in no time : ) If you want to try it out yourself, you can find the free pattern here.

Ik hoop dat je het een leuke serie vond. Ik vond het in ieder geval erg leuk de Hexies te maken. Ik vond het een fijne manier om mijn creatieve energie kwijt te kunnen en tegelijk was het een soort van kleurentherapie. Daarnaast is het een goede manier om gewaagde kleurcombinaties uit te proberen, want een hexie is zo klaar : ) Als je zelf een keer een hexie wilt maken, je vindt het gratis patroon hier.

Ik heb geen favoriet, omdat ze allemaal zo verschillend zijn en ik ze heb gemaakt gebaseerd op dingen waar ik van hou, dus dat maakt het nog moeilijker om te kiezen! Maar vertel me gerust welke JIJ het leukste vindt <3
