I’ve been teasing you all week on Facebook and Instagram about my Eucalyptus wrap I wrote about last week. And for a good reason. From each copy sold, the profit will be donated to help combat the devastation of Australia’s bushfires.
Ik ben jullie de hele week al aan het plagen op Facebook en Instagram met foto’s van mijn Eucalyptus wrap waar ik vorige week over schreef. En met een goede reden. Van elk patroon die ik hiervan verkoop, wordt de winst gedoneerd om de gevolgen van de vreselijke bosbranden in Australië te helpen bestrijden.

I have chosen to donate to WIRES, which is Australia’s largest Wildlife rescue organisation. They are currently working a lot in New South Wales, where fires are affecting the area the most.

About the pattern/Over het patroon

• The pattern will be free on my blog OR you can support WIRES by purchasing a PDF through Etsy or Ravelry for just €1.99. €1.50 of every pattern will be donated. Your purchase will include the full pattern as well as a printerfriendly version to save paper.
• The pattern comes in a written format with a few pictures to help you along the way, as well as a crochet chart.
• The wrap uses the following stitches (US terms): ch, hdc, fpdc, fpdc3tog
• The pattern will be part of my Poetry Collection. Read more about the collection here.

• Het patroon komt gratis beschikbaar op mijn blog OF je kunt WIRES steunen door via Etsy of Ravelry een PDF te kopen voor maar €1,99. €1,50 van elk patroon zal worden gedoneerd. Jouw aankoop bevat een PDF met het volledige patroon, maar ook een printervriendelijke versie om papier te besparen.
• Het patroon bestaat uit geschreven instructies met een aantal tutorial foto’s om je op weg te helpen. Daarnaast bevat het ook een haakdiagram.
• De omslagdoek gebruikt de volgende steken: l, hst, rel.st.v, 3rel.st.v.sam

About the yarn/Over het garen

The wrap uses 11 colors of Scheepjes Stone Washed and River Washed* and the design is made in a way that you can use up most of each ball, so there will be little to no left overs. It is also very fun to see all those colors combined in the wrap.

De omslagdoek gebruikt 11 kleuren Scheepjes Stone Washed en River Washed* en het ontwerp is zo gemaakt dat je het meeste van elke bol kunt gebruiken, zodat er weinig tot geen restjes zijn. Het is ook erg leuk om al die kleuren te zien samenkomen in de omslagdoek.

I will make a few other color combinations if you are not really a fan of greens and yellows : ) I will publish those together with the pattern.

Sample auction / Sample veiling

To help increase the donation amount, I will also host an auction. I have never sold any of my samples, so now is your chance to get your hands on the Eucalyptus wrap, crocheted by yours truly : ) So if you really like the wrap, but don’t have the time to make one yourself. Or if you want to help out increase the donation amount, or for whatever reason, you can bid on the wrap from tomorrow (Sat 25th of Jan 2020). Bidding will be possible through a separate Instagram and Facebook post I will make. if you win the auction, you will receive:
* The Eucalyptus wrap sample in an organza drawstring bag.
* A few extra goodies handpicked from my personal craft stash.
* Digital copies of ALL of my self-published patterns.

Om het donatiebedrag te verhogen, houd ik ook nog een veiling. Ik heb nog nooit één van mijn samples verkocht, dus nu is je kans om de Eucalyptus wrap te bieden, gehaakt door mijzelf : ) Dus als je de wrap echt mooi vind, maar geen tijd hebt om hem zelf te haken. Of als je mee wilt helpen het donatiebedrag te verhogen, of om welke reden dan ook, kan je vanaf morgen (za. 25 jan 2020) bieden op de omslagdoek. Bieden wordt mogelijk gemaakt via een apart Instagram en Facebook bericht. Wanneer je de veiling wint, ontvang je:
* Het gehaakte sample van de omslagdoek in een organza trekzak.
* Een paar extra goodies, door mijzelf uitgekozen vanuit mijn persoonlijke hobby-voorraad.
